About Me A Diverse Background

My academic background is in human biology, plant ecology, human behavior, and human genetics. I'm fascinated by how people interact with their own biology, with each other, and with the environment. My education helps me make connections and see the world in all its real-life complexity.

My diverse work experience gives me not only writing skill, but a lot to write about. I’ve written and copyedited for national publications. But I’ve also fit people in hiking boots, hoed fields of organic greens, and counseled birth parents for an adoption agency.

My personal experiences have given me passion and a unique perspective when it comes to a variety of issues: fertility challenges, pesticides and other toxins, ADD/ADHD, parenting, the outdoors, and collaborative divorce. I love to help people not only solve health and life problems, but prevent them in the first place.
